WaldermarsuddeWaldemarsudde at Djurgården built in 1905 it belonged to the Swedish Prince Eugen (1965-1947) the son of Swedish king Oscar II. Today this villa is a museum containing exclusive paintings from famous Swedish painters like Carl Larsson, Carl Fredrik Hill, Bruno Liljefors and Anders Zorn. Ernst Josephson is represented with 11 paintings. In the beautiful park that surround this magnificent villa are sculptures from among others the world famous sculptor Carl Milles as well as Liss Eriksson.

Waldemarsudde consist of three different buildings, the palace where the prince lived now a museum showing work from the collections, the gallery in the garden showing temporary exhibitions and Gamla Huset (the old house) a house dating back to the 18th century today a museum open in the summers only. The lovely restaurant The Princes Kitchen is located in the palace.

This treasure can be visited Tuesday to Sunday 11:00-17:00
